MotoGP India was using a distorted India map in its live streaming of practice sessions and didn't feature the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. It was pointed out by a user on the social media platform 'X'.
The organisers took action immediately and corrected the map. MotoGP even issued an official apology to fans saying, 'It is never our intent to make any statement other than other than that of support and appreciation for our host country.'

MEA in an official statement further rejected differential treatment of Indian citizens on the basis of domicile or ethnicity and asserted that Arunachal Pradesh 'was, is and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India.'
'Government of India reserves the right to take suitable measures to safeguard our interests,' the statement added.
Minister of Earth Sciences of India, Kiren Rijiju, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, also condemned the act. 'This violates both the spirit of Sports &amp; also the Rules governing the conduct of Asian Games, which explicitly prohibits discrimination against competitors from member states,' read a part of the tweet from Rijiju.

Arunachal Pradesh's Wushu athletes have reportedly been unable to travel to China for the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou. The trio of Nyeman Wangsu, Onilu Tega and Mepung Lamgu were forced to stay back in Delhi even though the other squad members did not suffer any issues and were able to travel to Hangzhou.&nbsp;
As per reports, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee has given the accreditation cards to the three athletes but their cards could not be downloaded for validation. Notably, this was not an issue for the other athletes. The trio was part of the 11-member Wushu squad that was set to leave for China on Wednesday night from the IGI Airport.&nbsp;

Naseem Shah ruled out as Pakistan name squad for ODI World Cup 2023

Pakistan named its squad for the ODI World Cup 2023 on Friday and in a major blow to their chances, in-form pacer Naseem Shah failed to recover in time and was ruled out of the tournament in India.

Pakistan named its squad for the ODI World Cup 2023 on Friday and in a major blow to their chances, in-form pacer Naseem Shah failed to recover in time and was ruled out of the tournament in India.
Naseem picked up a shoulder injury during the recently concluded Asia Cup. He has been advised to undergo surgery and is expected to recover in three to four months. Hence, the youngster couldn't find a place in the 15-member World Cup squad.&nbsp;
Chief Selector Inzamam ul Haq said experienced medium pacer Hasan Ali has been recalled in place of Shah.
Inzamam also announced three travelling reserves - wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris, mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed and fast bowler Zaman Khan for the World Cup who would be considered if there were any injuries in the squad.
"I have not tried to tinker or make too many changes in the squad because this is a World Cup and we have to remember these same players have been playing together for a while now. We have opted for continuity in the team," Inzamam told the media in Lahore on Friday.
"We were forced to make one change because of an unfortunate injury to Naseem Shah. We had a few injury scares in the recent Asia Cup, but I am glad to share that all the players are fully fit and are eager to perform for their country in the all-important tournament." Giving a breakdown on the fitness of Naseem, Inzamam said: "The doctors are looking after him but what we are learning is that he might be out for a long time, not only the World Cup." The Chief Selector said that Naseem is also doubtful to make the tour of Australia after the World Cup.
Inzamam also defended the decision to call up Hasan Ali, who has been out with a finger injury for a while now and last played for Pakistan in any format in January this year against New Zealand in a Test match.
Hasan, who fractured his finger while playing in the Lanka Premier League a few months back, last played an ODI for Pakistan in June 2022.
"The only reason we have picked Hasan is because he is an experienced bowler who has played and bowled well before in big tournaments and matches and that is why we have gone for Hasan. He was only picked after the doctors cleared his fitness," he said.
There were concerns about fast bowler Haris Rauf's fitness after he missed the last Super Four game against Sri Lanka following an injury during the India game.
"I have received encouraging reports from our medical panel about Haris Rauf. He has started to (shadow) bowl at the National Cricket Academy and will be available for selection," Inzamam said.
"I have a firm belief that this squad can bring the World Cup trophy to Pakistan and make the whole nation proud with their incredible performances. It is time to get behind our team and provide them with the backing and support that they need." Inzamam, however, said the recent form of the spinners has been a source of concern and they need to improve their performance in India.
"It is a fact that our spinners are not performing as we expect them to do. And unless they take wickets in the middle overs it will be a problem in India," he said.
"Shadab, Nawaz and Osama Mir have been playing together so I am confident they will start performing in the mega event.
"In India if you want to win matches not only do you need wicket-taking spinners but also proper pace bowlers." Pakistan will play two warm-up matches against New Zealand on September 29 and Australia on October 3 before their tournament opener against the Netherlands on October 6.
The showpiece will be held in October and November in India.

Kane's performance was outstanding, scoring his fourth goal of the season and giving defending champions Bayern Munich an early 1-0 lead within the first seven minutes of the game.
Visiting Bayer Leverkusen fought back, with Alejandro Grimaldo leveling the score with an impeccably executed free kick in the 24th minute.
Bayern Munich's substitute, Mathys Tel, made a crucial contribution, delivering a cross from the left that found Leon Goretzka in an open position. Goretzka capitalized on the opportunity, scoring what seemed to be the winning goal in the 86th minute.
However, the fate of the game took a turn when Alphonso Davies was flagged for a foul on Jonas Hofmann after a VAR review. This decision led to a penalty, and Exequiel Palacios utilized the opportunity, securing an equalizer for Bayer Leverkusen in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
