Premier League: Liverpool thrash Manchester United 4-0 to reach the top of the league

It was a night of embarrassment for Manchester United as they were thrashed 4-0 on the road by Liverpool in the Premier League. 2 goals by Mohd Salah and one each by Luis Diaz & Sadio Mane sealed the deal for Jurgen Klopp's men as they reached the top of the points table in the Premier League. Right through the evening, Liverpool were on the offensive as they scored their opening goal in the 5th min through Luis Diaz.

After providing a classic assist for the opening goal, Mohd Salah returned to break his 8-match goalless streak to find the net in the 22nd min. Meanwhile, Manchester United struggled on the pitch after Paul Pogba limped off with an injury.

Sadio Mane got on the scoresheet in the 2nd half as it was one-way traffic at Anfield following a commanding display by the hosts. Salah returned to haunt United with another strike in the closing moments of the game as Liverpool won 4-0 to go to the top of the points table. 2nd straight loss for United this season against Liverpool as the Reds earlier thrashed the Red Devils in their own backyard 5-0.
