The FIFA World Cup is still 5 months away but fervour among the football fans is snowballing already. And when the organisers came out with the tickets sales number for the first time, about 1.2 million tickets have been already sold. 
Qatar World Cup chief organiser Hasan Al-Thawadi revealed that there has been a record-breaking demand for the showpiece event, which is happening in the middle east for the first time.

The organising committee officials also confirmed the numbers and said that there were about 40 million requests in the two phases of sales.

Paul Pogba’s brother Florentin Pogba has completed his move to the Indian Super League as he is all set to join ATK Mohun Bagan from French club Sochaux.
The elder brother of the World Cup winner from France, Florentin has played 31 games for his national side Guinea and had also represented the France U20 team during his young days. 
Pogba, who plays as a central defender, is expected to strengthen ATK's defence. The club, which is based out in Kolkata, also picked up Brendon Hamill from Australia’s top-tier football and looks a star-studded team going into the new season of the ISL.

Wayne Rooney has stepped down as the manager of embattled League One club Derby County. The former Manchester United and England great ended his playing career with the Rams before taking his first step in management with the club in November 2020.
Derby was plunged into administration at the start of last season and were relegated from the Championship despite Rooney's efforts to keep them up after they were docked 21 points because of its financial problems.
In a statement Rooney said that the administrators tried tremendously hard to change his decision but he had made up his mind. 'Personally, I feel the club now needs to be led by someone with fresh energy and not affected by the events that have happened over the last 18 months, the 36-year-old added.
