Premier League: Leicester steal a win from Liverpool after a strong defensive masterclass

Mohamed Salah's first-half penalty miss dented Liverpool's title hopes in the Premier League as Leicester City beat the Reds 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Liverpool had many chances, including a penalty from Mohamed Salah, but failed to score in the Premier League for the first time in 29 games.

Liverpool dominated the first half against an injury-hit Leicester and appeared set to grab a lead when Egyptian Mohamed Salah was awarded a penalty in the 16th minute, but Leicester City's goalkeeper saved the spot attempt.

The visitors continued their attacks in the 2nd half including a close attempt by Sadio Mane early.

The only goal of the match was scored by Leicester's Ademola Lookman in the 59th minute.

Leicester defended out of their skins to win the game 1-0 which puts Liverpool six points behind leaders Manchester City.
