Premier League: Arsenal’s title challenge suffers setback after 2-2 draw at West Ham

With West Ham United coming back from two goals behind, a 2-2 draw could possibly haunt table-toppers Arsenal in later stages of the Premier League. The Gunners are now just four points ahead of Manchester City on the leaderboard with the defending champions having a game in hand.

Arsenal made a superb start as Gabriel Jesus put them ahead in the 7th minute itself. And three minutes later, Martin Odegaard doubled the lead, giving Arsenal fans a chance to rejoice.

However, just like their previous game, the Gunners shed the lead as the game progresses. West Ham's Said Benrahma pulled one goal back in the 33rd minute as he converted a spot.

In the second half, Arsenal had a chance to keep the two-goal advantage but Saka missed a penalty spot in the 52nd minute.

And two minutes later, that penalty miss proved very costly as Bowen scored the equaliser for West Ham, courtesy of Arsenal's poor defending.

In the end, despite Arsenal's barrage of attacks Mikel Arteta's men failed to break the stalemate.
