The football world was grieved as the news of the greatest ever, the King, Pele passing away took over. The Brazilian legend who won the World Cup not once but thrice passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday. His influence on the game and the players was unfathomable. The football world came together to mourn the death of one of the greatest heroes, the sport ever produced.

From Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo to Brazil's current favourite Neymar all paid their tribute to the football great.

While Brazil's Neymar said Pele transformed the sport into art and entertainment, Kylian Mbappe said that his legacy will never be forgotten.

English legend Sir Geoff Hurst said he was proud that he played with him. Cristiano Ronaldo too shared his deepest condolences and wrote, 'Pele was an inspiration to millions'

Calling him the forever king of football, Thiago Silva wrote that the Brazil great had changed the history of football.

The former Brazilian footballer Cafu wrote, Pele will never die, Pele is eternal.

Indian Football club also paid their tribute bid their adios to the 'king of football'.

Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Moussa Dembele, Harry Maguire, all shared their tributes as the social media got flooded with condolences.

Uefa, The Brazilian Football Federation, FIFA, Machester United, the Football association of Wales all joined the fans and players across the world to pay tribute to the 'first global superstar'
