FIFA World Cup 2022: England announce FIFA World Cup squad, several key players missing

England have announced a 26-man squad as the FIFA World Cup in Qatar draws near.

England manager Gareth Southgate named several key players in his squad like Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka but the likes of Reece James (injury), Jadon Sancho & Ben Chilwell will not be travelling to the MiddleEast.

The Three Lions who reached the semi-finals in the previous edition and finished 4th after losing to Belgium in the third-place play-off. They also reached the final of Euro 2020, where they lost to Italy at home.

England World Cup Squad:

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aron Ramsdale (Arsenal), Nick Pope (Newcastle United ).

Defenders: Harry Maguire (Manchester United), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Eric Dier (Tottenham), Conor Coady (Everton), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Ben White (Arsenal), Kyle Walker (Manchester City).

Midfielders: Jude Bellingham (Dortmund), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Mason Mount (Chelsea), Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City), Declan Rice (West Ham United).

Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), James Maddison (Leicester), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea), Callum Wilson (Newcastle United).

England are placed in Group B along with Iran, USA and Wales. England begin their World Cup Campaign against Iran on November 21.
