Cristiano Ronaldo rejects Saudi Arabian club's mammoth €275m offer

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest names in world football. But with Manchester United failing to secure a Champions League berth this season, there have been widespread speculations regarding CR7’s move away from Old Trafford.

In fact, an unnamed Saudi Arabian club even offered a monster €275m for the next two seasons to Ronaldo in a bid to lure him away from Manchester. While an insane wage like that would make him the highest-paid player in the world, reports in the media suggest that Ronaldo has already rejected the offer.

From PSG to Bayern, there have been a plethora of top clubs who have been associated with Ronaldo ever since the news came out that the forward wanted to leave United.

While English giants Chelsea were also hoping to get Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge till earlier this month, the Blues’ boss Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that they are no longer in contention to sign United’s star striker. The London-based club have already signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner will most likely stay at Old Trafford as the Red Devils' new boss Erik ten Hag earlier confirmed that Ronaldo is in their plans and is not for sale.

Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United last summer from Juventus and scored 24 goals in all competitions during the 2021/22 season.
