Chelsea lose to Fulham after Joao Felix sent off on debut

Drafted into the side less than 30 hours after signing for Chelsea, Felix looked very lively in the first half but was sent off in the 58th minute for a rash challenge.

Chelsea's poor run in the English Premier League continued as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fulham.

The pressure on Blues' boss Graham Potter was accentuated by his new signing Joao Felix, who was sent off on his debut, just a day after he signed for the London club.

To make matters worse, Felix will miss the next 3 encounters after his reckless challenge on Fulham's Kenny Tete in the 58th minute earned him a straight red.

Felix was sent off when the score was tied at 1-1, with Kalidou Koulibaly's goal in the 2nd half cancelling out former Chelsea man Willian's strike from the first half.

However, a Carlos Vinicius header in the 73rd minute gave Fulham all the 3 points. Marco Silva's men are now up to 6th on the table while Chelsea are currently 10th.
