Mohammed Shami slams former Pakistan cricketers for coming up with conspiracy theories | ODI World Cup

Mohammed Shami had an ODI World Cup to remember as the Indian pacer surprised everyone by emerging as Team India's spearhead in the campaign, ending the tournament as the leading wicket-taker with 24 scalps to his name.

However, what Shami didn't like was the illogical conspiracy theories thrown his way from former Pakistan cricketers saying that Shami was using a different coloured cricket ball to bowl or that the ICC have arranged a different kind of ball for the 33-year-old.

In a recent interview, Shami said “I was not playing but I was hearing all those conspiracy theories. When I played my first match, I took five wickets, in the second I bagged four, and then again a fifer in my third game. Few Pakistani cricketers couldn’t digest this fact, how can I help with it,”

'Few former Pakistan players think they are the best in the world, and can’t digest better player and India’s success. For me the real performers are those cricketers who work hard and perform for the team when it matters the most,” he added.
