CWG 2022 India Day 5 : Overnight Round-up : India may have had an impressive run in the first half of day 5 but a few athletes didn't live up to their billing after that at Commonwealth Games 2022. Here is how the overnight results went by for India.

Boxer Rohit Tokas stormed into the quarterfinals of the Men’s welterweight category with a 5-0 win over Alfred Kotey of Ghana.

CWG 2022 India Day 5 : HOCKEY

Indian women's hockey team went down 1-3 against hosts England in their Pool A game and now need a win against Canada to reach the semis.

CWG 2022 India Day 5 : SQUASH

Fans had high hopes of gold from India's ace squash player Saurav Ghosal but he lost his men's singles semifinals game against New Zealand’s Paul Coll. Ghosal will though compete for a bronze medal on Wednesday. On the other hand, Sunayna Sara Kuruvilla defeated Pakistan's Faiza Zafar 3-0 to enter the Women’s Singles Plate final.

CWG 2022 India Day 5 : ATHLETICS

Discuss thrower Seema Punia and Navjeet Kaur Dhillon finished fifth and eighth respectively in the discus final and failed to win a media. Both the ladies had finished on the podium at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

CWG 2022 India Day 5 : WEIGHTLIFTING

India's Usha Bannur finished 6th in the Women’s 87 kg weightlifting final. She managed a total lift of 205 kg.
