Excitement Builds as FIFA Announces 2026 World Cup Ticket Sales

Geneva, Jul 16 (AP) — The countdown has begun for soccer enthusiasts worldwide as FIFA has announced that ticket applications for the 2026 World Cup will open on September 10. The much-anticipated tournament, set to make its mark by being co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, will officially kick off at the iconic Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on June 11.

Due to the expected high demand, FIFA has decided to release the tickets in phases, aiming to ensure a fair opportunity for fans globally. However, the organization has not yet revealed if dynamic pricing models will be employed, a strategy previously seen in the Club World Cup where ticket prices experienced significant fluctuations.

“We’re eagerly awaiting the moment we can welcome the world back to North America,” stated FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “With Canada, Mexico, and the United States as hosts, this promises to be not only the largest but also the greatest sporting spectacle ever.”

Infantino further emphasized the urgency for fans, saying, “We urge supporters from every corner of the globe to prepare to secure their place in history — these will undoubtedly be the most sought-after seats in the world of sport.”
