For a long time now, the BMW GS Adventure Motorcycle has ruled the ADV segment without any real competition. However, that hasn’t stopped BMW Motorrad from reinventing the wheel and the latest iteration of their flagship GS is proof. It’s called the BMW R 1300 GS and it marks a new beginning for the GS range in every way possible.

It features a new boxer engine, a whole new chassis, new electronics, a more advanced suspension setup, and even rider assistance features. Do all these changes make the BMW R1300GS a better bike than its predecessor or has it lost its essence?
