If you too are planning a beach vacation to beat the winter blues, here are some unique beaches around the country that you can opt for.

Off beat beach destinations to visit this winter:

      Lakshadweep

India's smallest Union Territory Lakshadweep is an archipelago consisting of 36 islands and its picturesque beaches are some of the most beautiful ones in India. Bangaram Island is one of the most popular islands here.

      Mandvi, Gujarat

Showcasing golden-brown sand, Mandvi is located in Gujarat's Kutch district. The winter months (November to February) are the best time to visit this beautiful beach.

      Mandarmani, West Bengal

A perfect weekend getaway from Kolkata and surrounding areas, Mandarmani’s serene beach is the best option for an offbeat experience with lesser crowd. Family of red crabs are certain to welcome you at this beach.

      Puducherry

With remnants of the French colonial past spread across the town's architecture surrounded by serene beaches; this union territory is one of most popular destinations in Southern India.

      Diu

Visit Diu for its white sand beaches. Do not forget to experience the Portuguese architecture at old Diu.
