People making more excuses to miss work than ever before; 'calling in sick' most searched on Google

We all surely miss working from the comfort of our homes but now with most offices functioning on-site, looks like people are making more excuses for taking a day off from work than ever before. And Google comes to their rescue every time.

This was brought to light in recent data, analysed by recruitment company, Frank Recruitment Group. According to the data, in 2022, there were 2,230,240 Google searches in the US for excuses to take leave from work.

That's a whopping 1884% growth than what it was in 2020, where the searches were 112,400 only. While from 2018 to this year, there has been a hike of 630% in Google search for excuses to miss work. In 2022 itself ‘calling in sick’ was the most-searched term followed by 'excuses to miss work'.
