‘Just five more minutes,' snoozing your alarm is awfully tempting just like french fries and chicken nuggets. But it appears, hitting the snooze button on our phones every morning is harmful to our health (just like junk food).

A recent study published in Oxford Academic’s Sleep, found that 57% of its 450 participants admitted to being habitual snoozers.

According to experts, snoozing can have adverse physiological effects on your body and may lead to chronic diseases, including depression. A sleep wellness brand is also lobbying for the snooze button to be removed in Apple's next ios update.

Waking up with a single alarm could be initially tricky but, it’s all about creating a healthy lifestyle for ourselves. If you do wake up feeling a little tired, try to set another alarm 10 minutes later and then just get up!
