The foods we consume play a very important role in deciding our liver's health. One should include nutrient-rich food in their diet and be mindful of what they eat. Here are some superfoods for the liver that will keep you healthy.

5 Superfoods for liver

1. Have lean proteins

One of the most important foods for liver health are lean proteins such as fish and poultry, or plant-based options like soy, legumes, kidney beans, and chickpeas. These will supply you with the essential amino acids required for functioning and repair.

2. Rice and Oats

Whole grains like brown rice, oats, quinoa and whole wheat bread. these foods are full of fiber and they will help regulate your blood sugar levels. These also help with digestive health and helps with liver function.

3. Garlic

Garlic, a main ingredient in Indian food is great for health. It contains a wide spectrum of bioactive compounds such as alliin, allicin, and vinyl dithiins which have high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

4. Ash Gourd

Enjoy a low-calorie vegetable that is also great for your liver - ash gourd. Ash gourd contains the phytochemical cucurbitacin, known for its potential to enhance liver function and bolster immunity. Having it in the form of juice on an empty stomach is also great for health.

5. Grapes
