Recently, the food delivery brand released an ad showcasing the character &lsquo;Kachra&rsquo; from the film Lagaan who was shown belonging to a lower caste. In the commercial, Zomato used the same character played by the same actor in the movie, Aditya Lakhia.&nbsp;
Even though it intended to spread the message that any kind of garbage at home, office or any space can be recycled, the literal representation of a person or a lower caste character from a movie as garbage didn't go well with the consumers.
The advertisement was later deleted as it received an immense amount of backlash online. According to social media users, it was completely insensitive on Zomato&rsquo;s part.

A latest study suggests that long Covid-19 may cause some people to develop face blindness. The study was published in the journal Cortex.&nbsp;
The study focused on an unusual case of a 28-year-old woman Annie, who got infected with corona virus in 2020 and two months later she struggled to identify her relatives, including her father when she passed across him at a restaurant.&nbsp;
For the uninitiated, face blindness is a condition in which a person finds it hard to recognise people's faces.&nbsp;
The study found out that coronavirus can produce severe and selective neuropsychological impairment similar to deficits seen following brain damage, and it appears that high-level visual impairments are not uncommon in people with long Covid.

No, we are not talking about any kind of drug but the eclectic sounds of plants that people are vibing on these days. Sound engineers and musicians are reconnecting people with nature by sharing videos of how plants sound when they are connected to a sound wire.&nbsp;

Musicians plug cables into mushrooms and other kinds of plants to make people listen to the sounds from them. Sound technicians use a kind of device to derive the bioelectricity from the plants and it slowly changes the synth.&nbsp;
Recently, Tarun Nayar, an electronic artist and also a former biologist is garnering huge number of views on his videos where he can be seen making 'organismic music' with the help of plants.&nbsp;
While speaking with The Guardian, Nayar said that this music is created by connecting electrodes and modular synthesisers to plants and measuring their bioelectrical energy.&nbsp;
He further said that this is an environmental feedback mechanism. It&rsquo;s based on galvanic resistance &ndash; the same principle by which simple lie detectors work.
Other than him, artists like Noah Kalos who is popularly known as MycoLyco also makes music using the same technique. He even made music from Mushroom for Stella McCartney's summer 2022 show.&nbsp;

Diabetes is one of the most common health conditions caused mostly due to lifestyle disorders. However there can be many factors that can cause diabetes. India is one of the countries in the world with highest number of people suffering from this chronic disease.&nbsp;&nbsp;
A new study states that the number of diabetic patients in the country have increased drastically since the year 2019. In this study done by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) published in the UK medical journal Lancet,&nbsp;it was found that among all states and Union Territories in India, Goa has the highest number of diabetic patients followed by Puducherry and Kerala.&nbsp;

In Goa 26.4% people are diabetic, while Puducherry has 26.3% diabetes patients and Kerala stands in the third position with 25.5% population living with diabetes. The number of people with diabetes in these states is much higher, as compared to the national average of 11.4%. The study also revealed that at least 136 million people, or 15.3% of the population, have prediabetes.
The study also says that India now has over 101 million people with diabetes, as compared to 70 million in the year 2019. Though the numbers are stabilizing in some developed states, they are increasing at an alarming rate in some.&nbsp;
The study has also warned that diabetes cases may increase in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh in the next few years.&nbsp;

Tune-up your diet
Dietary changes can have a huge impact on the risk of diabetes. Your diet should include smaller portions along with less fat and sugar. Eat a variety of foods from each food group, including plenty of whole grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Limit red and processed meat and opt for fish instead.
Quit smoking
Do you know smokers are roughly 50 percent more likely to develop diabetes than non-smokers? According to a study published in the journal Nature Medicine, drinking any amount of alcohol could increase the risk of developing at least one of more than 60 diseases.&nbsp;
Oxford University researchers found that even occasional drinkers are at a higher risk of developing certain conditions. The study was conducted on 512,000 participants for a period of 12 years.&nbsp;
