Be it Jaane Jaan or Paatal Lok, Jaideep Ahlawat has always impressed us with his acting skills. The actor recently lost 26 kgs for his role in Netflix's latest offering 'Maharaj'. In the film, the actor plays Jadunath Maharaj, a powerful nobleman in pre-Independence India who preys on the weak and subjugated.

Let us look at his weight loss journey and how he achieved this feat.

Jaideep Ahlawat drops 26 kgs

Jaideep took to Instagram on Monday and shared pictures from his major body transformation. The actor dropped 26 kilos and went from 109.7 Kg. to 83 Kg. in 5 months! Sharing the post, Jaideep wrote, "From 109.7 Kg. to 83 Kg. in 5 months That’s the Physical Transformation for the Role of Maharaj. Thank you Prajwal Sir for believing in me @prajwal7542."

In a previous interview with ANI, Jaideep revealed how he underwent a major body transformation. He said, "So, for almost 5.5 months of intense physical training, because of what JJ is visible on the screen, my trainer, worked very hard on me. We did 3-4 times workouts a day."

Jaideep had revealed that although he loves North Indian street food like chole bhature, dahi bhalle, and Paranthe, but has curbed his urges to get fit.

In an earlier interview, he said, "When on a diet. I'm not eating any carbs or junk food, and trust me, it's difficult. I am personally not fond of sweets and sugar, but I crave spicy food, which is available in Delhi and Haryana."

'Maharaj' starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey is directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment. It also marks Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan's debut. The film is based on true events from pre-independence India and highlights the courage of Karsandas Mulji, a social reformer who challenged the status quo in a landmark legal battle.
