How to beat jet lag? Doctor Reveals the ultimate secret trick

Do you ever feel tired and out of sorts after a long flight? You might be experiencing something called "jet lag." It's like your body's internal clock is still set to a different time zone, and it can make you feel pretty lousy. But fear not, because we've got a secret trick to help you beat jet lag, and it involves brushing your teeth!

According to Dr. Vincent Candrawinata, jet lag is essentially a mix of three vital factors: our circadian rhythm, hydration levels, and circulation patterns.

Dr. Candrawinata also explained that when we journey across different time zones, our circadian rhythms, often referred to as our body's internal clocks, become disturbed.

So, the act of brushing teeth serves as a signal to your body that it's time to prepare for landing, encouraging you to become more active about an hour before you touch down. It's like giving your body a gentle nudge, reminding it to wake up and get back into action.

He also advises to keep your body active with light exercise and keep it hydrated in the next 48 hours after landing to help get rid of jet lag.

Also watch: Eating this food while travelling may help reduce jet lag, according to a new study
