A recent study has shed light on the benefits of eating nuts. It was also mentioned in the study that eating nuts could also have a good impact on one's mental health.

The study was published in the journal Clinical Nutrition and it was found that consumption of about 30 grams of nuts every day can help lower the risk of depression in adults.

For the study, more than 13,500 people, between the ages of 37 and 73, participated in the UK and they did not have a depression diagnosis at the beginning of the study.

They were given unsalted nuts, such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios, salted nuts, roasted nuts, and peanuts. The participants were observed for five years.

It was found that the consumption of small to moderate amounts of nuts every day, about 30 grams, appears to lower the risk of depression by 17% compared to those who don't eat nuts, according to the study.
