Yummy and healthy drinks to keep you warm and cosy this winter season

With the chilly nights setting in, it is important to keep the core of your body warm with healthy and nutritious foods and drinks.

Coconut water, cold coffee, iced tea, mojitos and chilled buttermilk are some beverages without which it’s impossible to imagine the summers. And similarly, there are some drinks for the winters that keep us warm during the cold chilly nights. And if you’re looking for some options other than regular tea or coffee, then we’re here to help!

Cinnamon milk

Cinnamon is a spice that is rich in medicinal properties. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that help in heart health and controls blood sugar levels. A pinch of cinnamon in a glass of warm milk and honey is also a muscle relaxant and sleep inducer.

Warm lemon water

You can also drink warm lemonade with a little honey in winters. Vitamin C present in lemon also works to increase immunity, which will help to steer away from cold and flu in this chilly season.

Apple cider vinegar with honey and ginger

Combining apple cider vinegar with honey and ginger creates a powerful boost of antioxidants that aids in digestion and weight loss. This drink can help to combat indigestion, nausea and bloating. It can also help to relieve many cold symptoms, including congestion.

Golden milk

Turmeric, which is the key ingredient in golden milk or haldi doodh, is often touted as an immunity booster to stave off illnesses. This bright yellow beverage is traditionally made by warming up some milk with raw or powdered turmeric and other ingredients such as honey, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and star anise.
