White eggs vs Brown eggs: Which is better for health? Eggoz CEO Abhishek Negi gives important insights

Eggs make for a great breakfast. They are nutritious and a great source of protein. Be it an omelette or boiled, eggs' every version is packed with goodness and taste. However, have you ever wondered which egg is better, white or brown?

We at Editorji, spoke to Eggoz CEO Abhishek Negi, who told us in detail about the difference between white or brown eggs.

Difference between white and brown eggs

"From a nutritional perspective, there is only a marginal difference between white and brown eggs, says Eggoz co-founder Abhishek Negi. "Its just that the birds are different, the brown birds lay brown eggs. Other than that, from a consumer perspective, there is hardly any difference between the two", he adds.

We also asked the businessman the difference between fertilised and unfertilised eggs. "If we look at the overall egg market, the majority of the eggs would be unfertilised, even if you try and hatch them, they won't hatch," says, Negi. He further points out that, poultry hens keep laying unfertilised eggs on a regular basis. Only if a hen mates with a rooster, does it lay fertilised eggs. However, "fertilized eggs are a different business and value chain altogether. The fertilised eggs are allowed to hatch and then the chicks are sold", he adds. As far as Eggoz is concerned, the co-founder points out that all their eggs are completely unfertilised.

You can have eggs for breakfast, dinner or lunch. However, make sure to have it in moderation.
