Breadfruit

Commonly found in South Pacific countries, Breadfruit can either be eaten ripe or can be consumed after drying and grinding the same into a powder. As per research conducted by the University of British Columbia, Breadfruit is highly nutritious for it contains vitamin C, potassium, iron, calcium and phosphorus. It was also found that the breadfruit flour is gluten-free, nutrient-dense and has a low glycemic index.

Golden Berries

Known to have been eaten for the past several years, golden berries are native to the Andes in South America. Tangy in taste and orange in colour, these berries come with a papery outer layer. As highlighted by an article published in Food & Nutrition, they are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C and also have anti-inflammatory properties.

Kamut

Also known as Khorasan wheat, Kamut is believed to have originated somewhere in Egypt. This grain not only has a nutty and sweet flavour but also comes with nutritional value. As per the National Center for Biotechnology Information, U.S., Kamut grain has anti-inflammatory properties and also helps reduce metabolic risk factors.
