Spices to be avoided during summers

Red chilli which can elevate body temperature and can cause a burning sensation in the stomach. Cloves contain eugenol, which can increase body warmth and potentially affect the digestive system. Similarly, cinnamon, garlic, and asafoetida or hing are hot spices with warming properties that may cause discomfort, hence should be avoided during summer. Also, the excessive consumption of ginger should be avoided in your diet during this season.
