Onion Buying Hack: Keep these tips in mind to avoid buying rotten onions

Sometimes we realise that an onion is rotten only after we cut it. If this often happens with you then follow this hack shared by Chef Pankaj Bhadauria.

She suggests pressing the onion stem while buying. If it easily gets pressed then the onion may turn out rotten and if the stem is hard and does not get pressed easily it means the onion is absolutely fine.

Secondly, the chef advises to never buy onions with lumps and the ones divided into two parts. So, next time do remember these things whenever you go vegetable shopping.
