Editorji Exclusive: Summer skincare tips for glowy and dewy skin

Summer is upon us in all its glory. The humidity and hot wind can mess with your skin’s natural pH levels leaving you with dry skin in summer. However, just a few simple changes in your everyday skincare regime can ensure that you are all set to glow through this season.

Here are a few summer skincare tips for radiant, healthy and hydrated skin, as suggested by skincare expert Hemangi Dhir. Take a look!

Use a lightweight moisturiser

Harsh sun can cause early signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles and the most effective way of keeping them at bay is to keep your skin moisturised. Invest in a dual-purpose lightweight natural moisturiser, preferably with an SPF of 25 and above to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.

SPF, SPF & more SPF

SPF should be your best friend all year long but especially during the summer season. A hydrating yet lightweight face cream with SPF will nourish and protect your skin. Make sure you use sunscreen which provides protection from UVA and UVB rays. Don’t forget to apply it to your neck, lips and ears.

Exfoliate more during summer season

It's important to get rid of dead skin cells as they can make your skin look dull and dry. So, exfoliate your skin one to three times a week.

Invest in an anti-pollution serum

If you are stepping out, be rest assured that the pollution levels, particularly in cities such as New Delhi will be on the rise again. So, do not forget to apply a lightweight anti-pollution serum at night for daily detox.

Opt for a minimal and natural skincare routine

Try to use minimal products made using natural ingredients for a radiant and healthy glow. Invest in serums and essences like bakuchiol; it helps minimise pores and arms skin with antioxidants. Similarly, use products that are made of aloe vera as it hydrates your skin and has a soothing effect on your face.
