Most of us refrain from having curd in winters fearing cough and cold. But nutritionists believe otherwise

Fear having curd in winters? Know what nutritionists say

Curd is a rich source of protein and many of us love having it with our meals. Whether in the form of raita or buttermilk, curd is a staple part of Indian diet. However, most of us refrain from having it in winters fearing catching a cold.

But according to nutritionists, curd can be consumed during winters also as probiotics and vitamins present in it improves our immune system. Curd’s anti-inflammatory property boosts WBC synthesis.

Nutritionists say that it is just a myth that eating curd in winters might cause cough and cold. Instead, active bacteria in curd fights germs in our body and helps in digestion.

So, go ahead and have curd even in winters but at room temperature and not refrigerated.
