WATCH: why this 19-year-old boy runs back home daily from work

A 19-year-old boy is getting a lot of love online after a video of him running down a Noida road at midnight went viral on social media on Sunday evening.

Pradeep Mehra is not earning appreciation for his run but for the reason behind it.

The video, shot by filmmaker and author Vinod Kapri from his car, shows Pradeep running back home after his shift at McDonald’s.

In the video, the boy repeatedly denies Kapri’s offer to give him a lift home. When asked why he was running so late in the night, Pradeep replied that it is the only time in the entire time he gets to run. When asked why he wanted to run in the first place, Pradeep said he wants to join the Army.

Kapri also invited him for dinner on finding out that Pradeep still has to cook after going back home but he decline the offer saying his brother, who is working the night shift, would have to go hungry if he doesn’t cook.

Pradeep daily runs a 10-km stretch from his work to his home.
