Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed the Parliament on the India-China Tawang clash, a day after the Indian Army revealed the incident.

Addressing the upper house, Singh said China's PLA troops encroached upon LAC in Yangtse, Tawang sector and attempted to change status quo

"Our troops tackled the Chinese forces in a determined manner. They bravely stopped PLA from encroaching upon our territory and forced them to go back to their post," Singh added.

The Defence Minister confirmed that a few soldiers were injured in the face-off, however, none of the Indian soldiers died or suffered any serious injury.

The Indian and Chinese troops clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on December 9 and the face-off resulted in "minor injuries to a few personnel from both sides", the Indian Army said on Monday.

The clash near Yangtse along the LAC in the sensitive sector took place last Friday amid the over 30-month border standoff between the two sides in eastern Ladakh.

Congress MPs have given adjournment notices in both houses of Parliament to discuss the border situation with China.
