Watch: Haryana CM ML Khattar rides bike to Karnal airport on 'car free' day

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar rode a motorcycle to Karnal airport to support a 'car free' day in the city.

Earlier this month, the CM had announced that Tuesdays will be designated as 'car free' days in Karnal and all government officials will be required to travel by bicycle.

The move is aimed at curbing pollution.

While posting a video of his bike ride on September 26, Khattar said that he hopes his act inspires people to give up their cars once a week.

"Be it "Car Free Day" or the resolution to make "Drug-free Haryana", it cannot be accomplished without public cooperation. I also made a small effort to reduce car traffic today by travelling to Karnal Airport by bike on “Car Free Day”. I hope that the conscious people of the state will take this message forward and inspire people to give up their cars 'just for one day'," Khattar wrote on X.
