Want to travel to Iran? Indians don’t need visa anymore

Indians will no longer need visas to travel to Iran. Tehran announced that Indian citizens will be allowed to travel to Iran visa-free from February 4, 2024 provided certain condition were met.

Indians holding ordinary passports will be allowed to enter the country without a visa once every six months, with a maximum stay of 15 days. Iran said that the 15-day period cannot be extended.

The visa abolition only applies to individuals going to Iran for tourism purposes. Indians who wish to stay for a longer period or make multiple entries within a six-month period or require other types of visas, they must obtain the necessary visas through Iran embassies in India.
