Rahul Gandhi targets PM Modi over Adani-Ambani jibe again

Rahul Gandhi again targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Adani and Ambani jibe, saying that the BJP leader has been uttering their names as he fears that the INDIA bloc is winning the elections.

"You must have seen that for 10 years, Narendra Modi didn't mention Adani and Ambani. He gave a thousand speeches but didn't utter their name even once...When someone starts getting nervous, that person starts taking the names of those people who, he thinks, can save him," Gandhi said while addressing a rally in Kannauj, from where Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

"This is why, Modi is taking the names of his two friends. He is pleading with them to save him from the INDIA bloc. He even knows how Adani sends money in tempo. The prime minister seems to have personal experience."

Rahul Gandhi also claimed that Modi and Amit Shah will try to divert people's attention from the main issue, that is the constitution.

"Now, BJP, Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah will attempt to divert your attention. For the next 10-15 days they will try to divert your attention...Don't get distracted. There is just one issue in the General Elections in India, all issues arise out of it - the Constitution of India," he said.

He further said that an INDIA bloc storm is arriving in Uttar Pradesh, as he asserted that Narendra Modi will not become the prime minister of the country.

"Take it in writing, Narendra Modi will not become the prime minister of India."

The Congress and the Samajwadi Party, both constituents of the INDIA bloc, are contesting the Lok Sabha elections in an alliance in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking on the opposition bloc, Gandhi said, "An INDIA bloc storm is arriving in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP is going to face its biggest defeat in the state." Yadav and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh also addressed the rally.
