Delhi Police on Friday has registered an FIR following a complaint by the Directorate of Education into the alleged misinformation being spread on social media over a circular to appoint nodal officers for matters related to stray dogs.
Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood said the government decided to act against the "false information" being spread on the issue by Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Accordingly, the Directorate of Education (DoE) filed a formal complaint with the police, demanding legal action into the matter.
The FIR has been registered under Sections 353 (1) (making, publishing or circulating any statement, false information, rumour, or report, including through electronic means) and 192 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot, if rioting be committed) of the BNS.
Addressing a press conference, Sood said Kejriwal had earlier posted a message on social media claiming that Delhi's teachers were being asked to count stray dogs instead of teaching children.
"A police complaint was lodged on Thursday regarding the tweet," he said.
Alleging that AAP leaders were deliberately misleading the public, Sood said the party would start portraying itself as a victim after filing of the FIR.
The complaint submitted at the Civil Lines police station said there is "circulation of false, misleading and malicious information on social media platforms by unknown/mischievous persons regarding an alleged direction that school teachers are required to count stray dogs".

The carcasses were found in the last four days near an aqueduct bridge on the riverbank in the Badwah area, and a post-mortem report has ruled out bird flu as the cause, they said.
Some parrots were alive during rescue operations, but the toxicity of the food was so severe that they died shortly thereafter, District wildlife warden Tony Sharma said.
The deaths triggered panic in the area after a suspected bird flu scare, but veterinary examinations found no trace of the infection.
Forest department officials have banned feeding near the aqueduct bridge and deployed staff at the site for strict enforcement.
Viscera samples from the birds were sent to Jabalpur for further examination, officials said.
According to officials from the veterinary department, food poisoning and improper diet have caused the deaths.
Teams from the veterinary and forest departments, as well as the wildlife wing, have been monitoring the area for the past four days after being alerted by residents.
Veterinarian Dr Manisha Chauhan, who conducted the post-mortems, said symptoms of food poisoning were found in the parrots, with no indicators of bird flu.
People often unknowingly feed birds food that proves fatal to their digestive systems, she said.
Veterinary extension officer Dr Suresh Baghel said rice and small pebbles were found in the stomachs of dead birds.
Prima facie, the deaths seem to be linked to improper feeding, he said, citing pesticide exposure from feeding in sprayed fields and water from the Narmada River as contributing factors.
Visitors to the bridge feeding cooked or leftover food to birds may have proved fatal, officials said.

A video and photos of the cricketer, Furqan Ul Haq, were circulated online after he was seen displaying the flag on his helmet during the Jammu and Kashmir Champions League here on Thursday.
"Yesterday, a video circulating on social media showed a cricket player, Furqan Ul Haq, resident of Tangipuna, Pulwama, playing cricket at K C Door in Muthi, while displaying a Palestine logo on his helmet," the spokesperson said.
He said that in view of the "sensitivity of the matter and its potential public order implications", a 14-day preliminary enquiry under Section 173(3) of the BNSS has been initiated at the Domana police station to ascertain the facts, intent and background of the individual and "any possible linkages".
The tournament started on December 29 in Jammu.
The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association maintained that it has no role, engagement or association with the tournament, as it is a private affair and not recognised by the association.
This is the second cricket league in the UT to be hit with controversy, following the collapse of the privately-run Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL), whose organisers allegedly fled Srinagar on November 1 after duping players, officials, broadcasters and hoteliers.

Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava on Friday said he has received information about 10 deaths due to a diarrhoea outbreak caused by contaminated water in the Bhagirathpura area of the city.&nbsp;
However, local residents have claimed that 14 individuals, including a six-month-old infant, have died due to the health crisis. The health department has not confirmed this claim.
&ldquo;According to health department data, four people have died due to the diarrhoea outbreak in Bhagirathpura. However, I have received information about 10 deaths due to this outbreak,&rdquo; Bhargava told PTI.
To a question about suspected cholera spread in the area based on preliminary test reports of drinking water samples collected from Bhagirathpura, the mayor said only the health department could provide information on the matter.
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Madhav Prasad Hasani said on Thursday that laboratory test reports from a city medical college had confirmed that the drinking water from the locality was contaminated due to a leakage in a pipeline.
The CMHO, however, did not share the detailed findings of the report. Administrative officials have also been avoiding giving clear information about it.
Officials said a leakage was found in the main drinking water supply pipeline near a police outpost in Bhagirathpura, at a spot over which a toilet has been constructed. They claimed the leakage led to contamination of the water supply.
More than 1,400 people have been affected by vomiting and diarrhoea in Bhagirathpura over the past nine days.
A health department official, citing the situation till Thursday night, said that 272 patients were admitted to hospitals in the area, of whom 71 have been discharged.
The official said 32 of the 201 patients currently hospitalised are undergoing treatment in intensive care units.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations and directed that the main state-level event be held at Rashtriya Prerna Sthal in Lucknow.
The Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations are scheduled from January 24 to 26.
According to an official statement, Adityanath said the celebrations should also be held at Noida Shilpgram in Gautam Buddh Nagar, across all districts of the state, in other states, and in countries with a significant Uttar Pradesh diaspora.
He directed that cultural programmes and theatrical presentations linked to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Vande Mataram, and Anand Math be included.
The chief minister said Youth Day (January 12), Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti (January 23), Uttar Pradesh Day (January 24), National Tourism Day/Voters&rsquo; Awareness Day (January 25), and Republic Day (January 26) should be celebrated in a grand manner.
Competitions in singing, instrumental music, dance, and theatre will be organised at block, municipal, and district levels, with winners performing at divisional and state-level events.
The programme would also include felicitation of Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman awardees, One District One Product (ODOP) beneficiaries, Vishwakarma Shram Samman recipients, Mati Kala Board entrepreneurs, sportspersons, progressive farmers, doctors, scientists, and outstanding women.
He emphasised the importance of providing opportunities to local artists, poets, and cultural practitioners, and called for the involvement of institutions such as Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Sangeet Natak Akademi, and Lalit Kala Akademi.
Referring to migrants from Uttar Pradesh in Delhi and Maharashtra, Adityanath directed that the event be celebrated prominently in these states and notable contributors from the diaspora be honoured.
He also said ODOP items, GI-tagged products, and &ldquo;One District, One Cuisine&rdquo; should be showcased during the celebrations, along with departmental achievements and government schemes.
The chief minister also reviewed preparations for the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, beginning January 3, and issued directions regarding security, cleanliness, health services, parking, toilets, and CCTV surveillance.

In the Revenue Department, over 12.46 lakh applications have been processed online by Patwaris. The department now issues QR-coded digital certificates for land and property-related tasks, aiming to streamline processes and improve security.
Minister Arora also highlighted the role of the &ldquo;Digital Dashboard&rdquo; for real-time monitoring of departmental services. According to the government, pendency across all services has decreased to 0.33%. Arora said that directives have been issued to complete public work within established timeframes.
The government reports that the digitization effort is intended to enhance access, accountability, and efficiency in service delivery.

In a significant development in the case of 328 missing sacred saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, the Punjab Police&rsquo;s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested the prime accused, Chartered Accountant Satinder Singh Kohli.&nbsp;
The arrest marks a major step in the investigation of one of the most sensitive cases affecting the Sikh community.
The update was shared by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, along with senior party leader Baltej Pannu. They stated that the investigation has now entered a critical phase with concrete action on the ground.
AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal described the arrest as a long-awaited moment for Sikh sangats. &ldquo;Today is a very big achievement for Sikh sangats, one that they have been waiting for over the last four to five years. Acting on the directions of the High Court, the SIT has arrested Satinder Singh Kohli from a hotel in Chandigarh. He is the main accused in the missing saroops case and was also serving as the CA of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) at the time,&rdquo; he said.
Recounting the sustained efforts for justice, Dhaliwal noted that Sikh sangats have been mobilising for years, holding protests and demonstrations.
&ldquo;For several years, Sikh sangats have been raising their voice and staging protests for justice in this case. A major mobilisation was also led under the leadership of renowned kirtankar Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala. This is the first arrest in the case, and that too of the main accused, which makes it all the more significant,&rdquo; he added.
Dhaliwal further assured that strict action would be taken against all those involved. &ldquo;I want to assure the Sikh sangat that all 16 accused who are responsible for making the sacred saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji go missing will be arrested and sent behind bars. This is the firm commitment of the Punjab government, and no guilty person will be spared,&rdquo; he stated.
Senior AAP leader Baltej Pannu explained that the investigation was initiated following directions from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in response to a petition regarding the missing saroops. &ldquo;The High Court had directed an investigation into the matter, after which the Punjab Police registered an FIR against 16 individuals and constituted a Special Investigation Team to probe the case,&rdquo; Pannu said.
Pannu provided additional details on the steps taken against the accused. &ldquo;Look Out Circulars have been issued against all 16 named accused. Arrest warrants against Satinder Singh Kohli had already been issued, and he was evading the police while hiding in a hotel in Chandigarh, from where he has now been arrested,&rdquo; he stated.
Emphasising that the investigation is ongoing, Pannu noted that the arrest could uncover further revelations. &ldquo;The police investigation is ongoing, and we expect many more disclosures in this case, especially because the same Chartered Accountant had been auditing the SGPC. This arrest can open up several big facts linked to the conspiracy,&rdquo; he said.

Dense fog enveloped the national capital on Friday morning as cold day conditions prevailed, the Met office said.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature at Safdarjung was recorded at 9.1 degrees Celsius. Other stations logged similar readings, with Palam and Lodhi Road recording a minimum of 9 degrees Celsius each, Ridge 8.7 degrees Celsius, and Ayanagar 8.1 degrees Celsius.
The weather office said a cold wave was likely to affect isolated places between January 2 and January 5.
A cold wave is declared when the minimum temperature drops 4.5 degrees Celsius to 6.5 degrees Celsius below the normal average temperature, it said. Cold day conditions are declared when the maximum temperature falls 4.5 notches below normal, he added.
The weather office further said dense to very dense fog is likely to continue during the night and morning hours at many places in Delhi. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 18 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, air quality in the national capital remained in the &lsquo;very poor&rsquo; category, though it showed marginal improvement. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 302 in the morning.
According to CPCB classification, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
Data from the Central Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app showed that 19 monitoring stations were in the 'very poor' category, 15 in 'poor', and one in 'severe', with NSIT Dwarka recording the poorest air quality at 423. On Thursday, the 24-hour average AQI stood at 380.
The Air Quality Early Warning System has forecast that air quality is likely to remain in the 'very poor' category till January 4, with similar conditions expected over the following six days.

Over the past several days, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) youth leader Shravan Kumar Joshi has been the subject of what party officials describe as attempts to tarnish his reputation in Surat.&nbsp;
A press conference was held on Thursday under the leadership of Surat City AAP President Dharmesh Bhanderi and Surat Lok Sabha In-charge Rajnikant Vaghani to address the matter.
City President Dharmesh Bhanderi said the briefing aimed to present the &ldquo;factual truths&rdquo; regarding the alleged campaign against Joshi. He described Joshi as a young volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from the Brahmin community of Rajasthan, engaged in the textile business, ideologically nationalist, and active in anti-corruption initiatives. Joshi currently serves as General Secretary of the AAP Youth Wing in Surat.
Bhanderi highlighted Joshi&rsquo;s recent work in the public interest, including raising concerns about grain distribution irregularities, illegal traffic fines, open sale of meat near temples, liquor dens, and other unlawful activities in the Limbayat area. &ldquo;Through these actions, he has consistently worked for public awareness and interest. As a result, public trust in the Aam Aadmi Party has increased in the Limbayat area. The fear among people is gradually diminishing, and public sentiment is increasingly turning in favor of AAP,&rdquo; Bhanderi said.
The AAP leader alleged that local authorities and political figures sought to stop Joshi&rsquo;s activities. &ldquo;Local leaders began to fear that if this movement gained further strength, their power would be threatened and illegal activities would be exposed. Hence, they decided that Shravan Joshi must be stopped at any cost,&rdquo; Bhanderi claimed.
According to Bhanderi, a complaint was filed against Joshi in Limbayat on November 29, which he described as &ldquo;fabricated and false.&rdquo; He said Joshi and another individual, Sampat Chaudhary, were taken into custody by the SOG at around 3:30 pm and allegedly assaulted at the SOG office. &ldquo;Shravan Joshi later informed the court about this assault and filed a complaint. After being detained and beaten, a forced confession was extracted from Sampat Chaudhary under coercion, and a video was recorded. Only after this, at around 6 pm, an FIR was filed against them,&rdquo; Bhanderi stated.
Bhanderi also pointed to a broader context behind the complaint. He alleged that Kamlesh Khatik, previously involved in a grain diversion case and now reportedly cooperating with authorities, was the complainant in the present matter.
Bhanderi said Joshi had filed a complaint against the SOG DCP, undergone a medical examination, and after his remand was rejected, was sent to Lajpore Jail. A subsequent similar complaint was reportedly filed the following day by another individual.
Addressing the incident, Bhanderi said, &ldquo;The Aam Aadmi Party will not be intimidated by such conspiracies. Shravan Joshi is not alone, and the entire AAP stands united in this struggle. Our committed workers will continue their fight against grain mafias, corrupt elements, and land mafias.&rdquo; He cited a similar case in Visavadar, where Junagadh District AAP President Haresh Savaliya was booked and jailed under disputed circumstances, later facing alleged attacks inside the jail.
During the press conference, Bhanderi presented videos released by the police, claiming they showed forced confessions and the fear of Sampat Chaudhary. He also stated that other footage purportedly showing money exchange was misleading, and that no actual transaction occurred. Videos of local residents highlighted complaints against grain mafias in Limbayat, with citizens reportedly frustrated by irregular ration distributions. Bhanderi said Joshi had visited ration shops in response to such complaints.

Aam Aadmi Party's Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia has written to the Chief Minister of Gujarat, proposing that government offices across the state remain open from 2 PM to 9 PM to make public services more accessible.
In his letter, Italia highlighted that citizens often need to visit multiple government offices for day-to-day work. &ldquo;Every applicant has to take leave from their job or work to visit government offices. If the work is not completed in a single visit, applicants have to take leave repeatedly, resulting in financial loss,&rdquo; he wrote.

He noted that several essential services, including police stations, fire brigades, ST bus stations, toll plazas, government hospitals, and other public services, already operate during night hours. Italia suggested that opening other public-facing offices in the evening would similarly benefit citizens. &ldquo;Therefore, if essential public-facing government offices are also kept open from 2 PM to 9 PM, people would not have to take leave from work and would find it easier to complete their tasks,&rdquo; he added.
Italia further emphasized that people engaged in jobs, businesses, or agricultural work throughout the day should be able to complete their government-related work peacefully after finishing their daily responsibilities. He recommended that Mamlatdar offices, municipal offices, taluka panchayat offices, electricity department offices, municipal corporation ward and zone offices, sub-divisional (Prant) offices, and village panchayat offices be included in this schedule.
He questioned the current inconsistency, asking, &ldquo;If government toll plazas can remain open throughout the night, why Mamlatdar offices, village panchayat offices, taluka panchayat offices, and Prant offices cannot remain open until 9:00 PM?&rdquo; Italia urged the state government to consider starting night offices to allow citizens to complete their work without having to take leave from their jobs or businesses.

AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava attended the inauguration of the Eklavya Model Residential School at Sagbara in Narmada district, highlighting the completion of a fully equipped campus for 240 students, with 16 classrooms, laboratories, a library, and other essential facilities.&nbsp;
Speaking at the event, Vasava appreciated the initiative of the Gujarat government and said the school would help students advance in their academic and professional careers.
However, Vasava expressed concerns over not being formally invited to the event. He noted that government ministers and Members of Parliament were present, yet neither the Collector nor the Sub-Divisional Officer had informed him by phone or invitation card. &ldquo;This is not an insult to me personally but to the people I represent,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;
Vasava emphasized that he does not attend programmes only if his name is on an invitation card, and he only learned about the event through a sarpanch, prompting his presence.
Questioning the district administration, Vasava asked why elected representatives were being overlooked and asserted that public officials and elected representatives alike are accountable to the people.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Salaries paid from public tax money go to both elected representatives and officials alike, from the Collector down to the talati. All officials are servants of the people, and elected representatives are their voice. Why was a public representative not invited to such a programme?&rdquo; he asked.
In a video statement to the media, Vasava noted that the Eklavya Model Residential School has been operating in Sagbara since 2013, but the new campus and building had remained incomplete until now. He welcomed the completion of the project, crediting the cooperation of the Tribal Development Department, the Government of India, and the Government of Gujarat. He extended his best wishes to students, praising their performances during the inauguration and the overall environment of the campus.
Vasava reiterated that while he appreciates the programme, the failure of the district administration to inform him represents a lapse in protocol. &ldquo;Constitutional rights and protocol must be followed, and I have raised this issue accordingly. The government minister has also drawn officials&rsquo; attention to this matter. The mistake lies with the Collector and the organisers, and clarification will be sought in the coming days. Any attack on our self-respect will not be tolerated,&rdquo; he said.
The MLA highlighted that acts of neglect by the administration can be perceived as attempts to undermine elected representatives, adding that his priority remains the welfare of his constituents rather than ceremonial formalities.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister&rsquo;s Office, the layout and design of the diary and calendar were conceptualised and prepared by the Information and Public Relations Department. The publication was printed by the Controller Printing and Stationery, Punjab.
Senior officials present at the release included Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, Secretary, Information and Public Relations, Ramvir Singh, Director, Information and Public Relations, Vimal Setia, among others.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday targeted the BJP's double-engine government in Madhya Pradesh after at least 10 people died allegedly due to contaminated water in Indore and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is always silent whenever poor die.
Gandhi alleged that Madhya Pradesh has become the epicentre of misgovernance and cited various instances of casualties reportedly due to cough syrups, poor hygiene at government hospitals and now due to contaminated water.
"Not water, but poison was distributed in Indore, and the administration remained in deep slumber," he said in a post on X in Hindi.&nbsp;
"Every home is filled with mourning, the poor are helpless - and on top of that, BJP leaders are making arrogant statements. Those who lost their lives and livelihoods needed solace; the government offered arrogance," he said.

Senior MP cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Thursday triggered a controversy after he used an objectionable word on camera &mdash; ghanta (loosely translating to nonsense) &mdash; when questioned by a TV journalist about the water contamination incident.
Gandhi, in his post, asked why complaints were not heard when people repeatedly complained about dirty, smelly water. "How did sewage get mixed with the drinking water? Why wasn't the supply stopped in time? When will action be taken against the responsible officers and leaders?" the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha asked.
"These aren't trivial questions &mdash; they demand accountability. Clean water isn't a favour, it's a right to life. And the BJP's double engine government, its negligent administration, and insensitive leadership are solely responsible for the destruction of this right," he said.
"Madhya Pradesh has now become the epicentre of misgovernance - deaths from cough syrup, rats killing children in government hospitals, and now deaths from drinking sewage-contaminated water. And whenever the poor die, Modi ji remains silent, as always," Gandhi alleged.
Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava on Friday said he has received information about 10 deaths due to a diarrhoea outbreak caused by contaminated water in the Bhagirathpura area of the city. However, local residents have claimed that 14 individuals, including a six-month-old infant, have died due to the health crisis. The health department has not confirmed this claim.
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Madhav Prasad Hasani said on Thursday that laboratory test reports from a city medical college had confirmed that the drinking water from the locality was contaminated due to a leakage in a pipeline. The CMHO, however, did not share the detailed findings of the report. Administrative officials have also been avoiding giving clear information about it.
Officials said a leakage was found in the main drinking water supply pipeline near a police outpost in Bhagirathpura, at a spot over which a toilet has been constructed. They claimed the leakage led to contamination of the water supply.
More than 1,400 people have been affected by vomiting and diarrhoea in Bhagirathpura over the past nine days.

Taking repeated indirect and direct swipes at Pakistan, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Friday said India is recalibrating its neighbourhood policy by balancing humanitarian assistance, development cooperation and firm responses to security threats, stressing that sustained terrorism makes normal neighbourly relations impossible.
Speaking at the inauguration of Shaastra 2026, the techno-entertainment festival at IIT Madras, Jaishankar said India has &ldquo;naturally invested&rdquo; in neighbours that maintain cooperative and constructive relations.&nbsp;
He noted that several countries in the region received their first COVID-19 vaccine consignments from India and that New Delhi also provided food assistance during the Ukraine conflict when global supply chains were under strain.
Referring to Sri Lanka, Jaishankar said India extended USD 4 billion in financial assistance during the island nation&rsquo;s economic crisis and responded immediately with rescue and relief operations during a recent cyclone. &ldquo;That is what good neighbours do,&rdquo; he said.
However, the External Affairs Minister underlined that not all neighbours behave responsibly. &ldquo;You can also have bad neighbours. Unfortunately, we do. When you have bad neighbours, if you look to the one to the west, if a country decides that it will deliberately, persistently, and unrepentantly continue with terrorism, we have a right to defend our people against terrorism. We will exercise that right,&rdquo; Jaishankar said, in remarks clearly aimed at Pakistan.

&ldquo;How we exercise that right is up to us. Nobody can tell us what we should or should not do. We will do whatever we have to do to defend ourselves,&rdquo; he added.
Jaishankar said long-standing cross-border terrorism has made it impossible to sustain normal cooperation with such neighbours. &ldquo;We have the right to defend our people. If you face terrorism for decades, you cannot have a good neighbourhood relationship. You cannot share water or cooperation with someone who continues terrorism,&rdquo; he said.
The minister also referred to the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) of 1960 with Pakistan, which was suspended following the deadly Pahalgam attack.

&ldquo;Many years ago, we agreed to a water-sharing arrangement, but if you had decades of terrorism, there is no good neighbourliness. If there is no good neighbourliness, you don't get the benefits of that good neighbourliness. You can't say, &lsquo;Please share water with me, but I will continue terrorism with you.&rsquo; That's not reconcilable,&rdquo; he said.
Jaishankar said India is surrounded by &ldquo;a lot of neighbours of various kinds&rdquo; and that New Delhi&rsquo;s approach depends on how those neighbours behave. &ldquo;If you have a neighbour who is good to you or at least who is not harmful to you, your natural instinct is to be kind, to help that neighbour, and that's what we do as a country,&rdquo; he said.
On Bangladesh, the External Affairs Minister said India wishes the country well in its elections and hopes that &ldquo;once things settle down, good neighbourliness will continue.&rdquo;
Speaking about Afghanistan, Jaishankar reiterated India&rsquo;s long-standing civilisational ties with the country and acknowledged the challenges faced by its people. He said he had a constructive discussion with his Afghan counterpart and expressed optimism that &ldquo;things will improve over time.&rdquo;
Addressing reports that an Indian woman from Arunachal Pradesh was harassed by Chinese immigration officials at Shanghai airport in November, Jaishankar said India had formally protested the incident. &ldquo;A lady from Arunachal Pradesh was detained and harassed. We protested. Arunachal Pradesh is, and will always remain, a part of India. We expect other countries to respect laws and norms,&rdquo; he asserted.
Jaishankar also recalled remarks made last month, when he said that &ldquo;much of India's problems&rdquo; emanate from the Pakistani army. Drawing an analogy, he had said that just as there are &ldquo;good terrorists and bad terrorists,&rdquo; there are &ldquo;good military leaders and apparently not-so-good ones,&rdquo; comments seen as a reference to Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.
On a lighter note, Jaishankar spoke about his personal routine, saying his life remains &ldquo;balanced&rdquo; despite not having conventional off days. &ldquo;In my life, I don't have off days&hellip; the world still runs on Saturday-Sunday,&rdquo; he said, adding that reading, music, sports and maintaining a routine help him stay grounded.
&ldquo;If you build a physical routine into your cycle, give yourself some time to read, write, think, talk, watch I can tell you your daily routine itself is so balanced that you don't need to unplug, but my wife is sitting here and she may contradict me,&rdquo; he added.
