'Several of our demands unmet': farmers to continue protest, want a meeting with Centre

Farmers groups have decided to go ahead with the events scheduled to mark one year anniversary of the farmers agitation at Delhi borders.

Samyukt Kisan Morcha held a meeting on Saturday at the Singh border and decided that the rally in Lucknow on 22nd November, a large gathering of farmers on 26th November and a tractor rally to Parliament on 29th November will be organised as planned.

"Our issues besides farm laws, especially MSP, withdrawal of cases against us, rollback of Power Bill 2020 & Air Quality Ordinance, and allotment of a location for a memorial for our friends who died are pending. We hope Govt calls a meeting to resolve the issues," farmer leader Darshan Pal Singh told the reporters.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait on Friday had said that the farmers agitation will go on till the 3 controversial farm laws are repealed in Parliament.
