Minister Directs Mandatory Buyer-Seller Presence for Registrations, Ensures Hassle-Free Public Services

In a move to reinforce transparency and efficiency in government services, Punjab Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardip Singh Mundian conducted a surprise inspection at the Bathinda Tehsil Office today. The minister reviewed operations at the Sub-Registrar Office, Fard Kendra, and various other branches to assess service delivery.

During his visit to the Sub-Registrar Office, Mr. Mundian mandated that both the buyer and the seller must be present during property registrations and instructed that CCTV cameras remain fully operational at all times. While inspecting the Fard Kendra, he stressed the importance of ensuring timely access to all types of public services.

The minister also emphasized the need for courteous treatment of visitors and directed that proper seating arrangements and essential amenities, such as drinking water, be made available. He further visited the registry branch to inspect its functionality.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Mundian reiterated the Punjab government’s commitment, under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, to providing transparent, timely, and hassle-free services to the public. He assured that citizens across the state are receiving essential services in a time-bound manner.

Highlighting his findings, the minister stated that officials have been instructed to address any shortcomings observed during the inspection. He also engaged with members of the public at the Tehsil Office, assuring them that the government is fully committed to resolving their concerns and ensuring a smooth service experience.

Accompanying the minister during the visit were Punjab Small Industries Development Board Chairman Neil Garg, Sugarfed Chairman Navdeep Jida, SDM Balkaran Singh Mahal, and Tehsildar Divya Singla. Their presence reinforced the government’s dedication to improving service quality and responsiveness in public offices.

With this proactive approach, the Punjab government continues its efforts to enhance governance and streamline public service delivery, ensuring citizens experience efficiency and transparency in government processes.
