Online NRI Milnee continues to address grievances of NRI Punjabis

The Punjab state government has launched online NRIs Milnee programs to swiftly address the grievances of NRI Punjabis, ensuring their concerns are resolved without delay.

These virtual sessions are held monthly, allowing the NRI Affairs Minister to personally listen to the issues and complaints of NRIs via video conferencing.

The grievances are then forwarded to the relevant departments and the ADGP of the NRI Wing of Punjab Police for prompt resolution.

NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal shared that the first online NRI Milnee received 100 complaints, followed by 103 complaints in the second session.

In the third NRI Milnee, a total of 109 complaints were registered, including 56 received via email and 53 through WhatsApp.

He reaffirmed the Punjab government's commitment to resolving these issues at the earliest and urged NRIs to actively participate in these online sessions to ensure their concerns are promptly addressed.

It is worth mentioning that before introducing the online platform, nine NRI Milnees had already been conducted in offline mode.

According to the NRI Milnees – 2024 report, a total of 309 complaints were registered, out of which 256 have been resolved. The remaining cases are being closely monitored by the Deputy Commissioners and SSPs of the respective districts for further action.
