Watch: argument between Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Gujarat cops over security

An argument broke out between Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and policemen in Ahmedabad after the former decided to travel in an auto.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has posted a clip of the argument on their social media platform in which Kejriwal accuses the Ahmedabad police of trying to arrest him. A policeman in the video can be heard telling the Delhi chief minister that he cannot travel without security and the police are just trying to follow protocol.

Kejriwal then tells the policeman that he doesn't want their security and that they can't stop him from meeting the public.

The AAP then tweeted that Arvind Kerjiwal had reached the auto-driver's residence and had dinner with him despite the police's efforts to stop him.

Kejriwal, who is on a two-day Gujarat visit as part of the AAP's campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls, addressed a gathering of auto-rickshaw drivers in Ahmedabad in the afternoon.

After his address, an auto-rickshaw driver named Vikram Dantani, a resident of the city's Ghatlodia area, requested Kejriwal to have a dinner at his home.

"I am your fan. In a video I saw on social media, you went to have dinner at the home of an auto driver in Punjab. So, will you come to my home for dinner?" asked Dantani.

The Delhi CM immediately replied in the affirmative to the invitation.

"Autowalas of Punjab and Gujarat love me. Should I come today evening? at 8 pm," said the AAP leader.

Dantani agreed when Kejriwal urged him to pick him up from his hotel and take him to his house in his auto-rickshaw.
