At an event in the United States of America, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that his mobile phone is being hacked by the Narendra Modi government.

During an interaction with Silicon Valley-based startup entrepreneurs on May 31, 2023, Gandhi said that he presumes that his iPhone is being tapped.

He jokingly said, "Hello, Mr Modi" on his phone. Gandhi added that if a government wants to tap someone's phone, it cannot be stopped.
