BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri's communal slurs shot at BSP MP Danish Ali has sparked a massive controversy with several members of Opposition parties condemning the behaviour and demanding action against Bidhuri.
Meanwhile, Ali, who has written to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding action against Bidhuri while giving an ultimatum of leaving the Parliament if the Speaker will not conduct an enquiry into the matter.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released the pictures of 10 wanted accused in the March 2023 case of attack and vandalism at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, USA, and has sought information about them from the general public, the agency said in a statement.
The agency has issued three separate &ldquo;Request for Identification &amp; Information&rdquo; notices against the wanted accused, "seeking any information of importance that could lead to their arrest or apprehension".
While two of the notices carry photographs of two accused each, the third notice shows pictures of the other six accused allegedly involved in the case, read the agency statement.
The NIA has also released telephone numbers and email IDs for sharing of any information on these 10 accused and promised not to reveal the identity of anyone sharing information on the accused, it said.
The attack on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco had taken place in the intervening night of March 18 and 19, 2023 when some pro-khaliatani entities trespassed into the consulate and tried to burn down the Consulate, the NIA statement added.

As per India Today, the accused, who was later arrested was sitting next to the emergency door and while flight was cruising, tried to force open it. The other passenger tried to stop him.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, in an order released on Thursday, noted the case involved two individuals who were both ineligible to lawfully marry each other but were living together pursuant to a "live-in relationship agreement", and the protection and remedies available under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code cannot be extended to such a "victim".
The judge observed that a live-in relationship between two consenting adults, who are married to different partners, has not been made a criminal offence, and while the parties have the right to determine their own choices, both men and women should "remain conscious of the repercussions" of such a relationship.

The Indian government said that it has asked Canada to downsize its diplomatic presence in India.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited the "interference of Canadian diplomats in Indian affairs" as a factor behind the move.
"The Canadian diplomatic presence in India is larger than what India has and accordingly needs to be downsized," foreign ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi told reporters.
"We have informed the Canadian government that there should be parity in diplomatic presence. Their numbers are very much higher than ours in Canada... I assume there will be a reduction," he said.
This comes amid the tensions over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Canada was intercepting communications between Indian diplomats and that led to allegations that India was involved in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardee Singh Nijjar, according to AP.&nbsp;

The allegation of India's involvement in the killing of a Sikh Canadian is based on surveillance of Indian diplomats in Canada, including intelligence provided by a major ally, a Canadian official familiar with the matter has told The Associated Press.
The official said on Thursday that the communications involved Indian officials and Indian diplomats in Canada and that some of the intelligence was provided by a member of the "Five Eyes" intelligence-sharing alliance, which in addition to Canada includes the US, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to discuss the matter publicly, did not say which ally provided intelligence or give specific details of what was contained in the communications or how they were obtained.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation first reported details of the intelligence.
Earlier Thursday, India told Canada to reduce its diplomatic staff and stopped issuing visas to Canadian citizens as a rift widened between the once-close allies over Ottawa's allegation that New Delhi may have been involved in the killing of the Canadian citizen.
Ties between the two countries &mdash; key strategic partners in security and trade &mdash; have plunged to their lowest point in years since Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said there were "credible allegations" of Indian involvement in the assassination of the Sikh separatist activist in June in a Vancouver suburb.
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a 45-year-old Canadian citizen who had been wanted by India for years, was gunned down outside the temple he led in the city of Surrey. Nijjar, a plumber, was born in India but became a Canadian citizen in 2007.
Speaking on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Trudeau acknowledged the complicated diplomatic situation he faced.
"There is no question that India is a country of growing importance and a country that we need to continue to work with," he said. "We are not looking to provoke or cause problems but we are unequivocal around the importance of the rule of law and unequivocal about the importance of protecting Canadians." The bombshell Monday allegation by Trudeau set off an international tit-for-tat, with each country expelling a diplomat. India called the allegations "absurd".
Canada has yet to provide any public evidence to back Trudeau's allegations, and Canada's UN ambassador, Bob Rae, indicated Thursday that it might not come very soon. "This is very early days," Rae told reporters at the United Nations, insisting that while facts will emerge, they must "come out in the course of the pursuit of justice".
"That's what we call the rule of law in Canada," he said.
On Thursday, the company that processes Indian visas in Canada announced that visa services had been suspended until further notice. The BLS Indian Visa Application Centre gave no further details.
The suspension means Canadians who don't already have visas will not be able to travel to India until services resume. Canadians are among the top travellers to India. In 2021, 80,000 Canadian tourists visited the country, according to India's Bureau of Immigration.
Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi blamed the visa suspension, which includes visas issued in third countries, on safety issues.
"Security threats being faced by our High Commission and consulates in Canada have disrupted their normal functioning. Accordingly, they are temporarily unable to process visa applications," Bagchi told reporters. "We will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis." He gave no details on the alleged threats.
Bagchi also called for a reduction in Canadian diplomats in India, saying they outnumbered Indian diplomats in Canada.
"We have informed the Canadian government that there should be parity" in staffing, he said.
The Canadian High Commission in New Delhi said Thursday that all its consulates in India are open and continue to serve clients. It said some of its diplomats had received threats on social media, prompting it to assess its "staff complement in India". It added that Canada expects India to provide security for its diplomats and consular officers working there.
On Wednesday, India warned its citizens to be careful when travelling to Canada because of "growing anti-India activities and politically condoned hate crimes".
India's security and intelligence branches have long been active in South Asia and are suspected in a number of killings in Pakistan. But arranging the killing of a Canadian citizen in Canada, home to nearly 2 million people of Indian descent, would be unprecedented.
Bagchi accused Canada of providing a safe haven for terrorists. He said India has regularly provided Canada with specific evidence about criminal activities by people based on its soil, but the information has not been acted upon.
India has criticised Canada for years over giving free rein to Sikh separatists, including Nijjar. New Delhi had accused him of having links to terrorism, which he denied.
Nijjar was a local leader in what remains of a once-strong movement to create an independent Sikh homeland, known as Khalistan. A bloody decade-long Sikh insurgency shook north India in the 1970s and 1980s until it was crushed in a government crackdown in which thousands of people were killed, including prominent Sikh leaders.
While the active insurgency ended decades ago, the Indian government has warned that Sikh separatists are trying to stage a comeback and pressed countries like Canada, where Sikhs comprise over 2 per cent of the population, to do more to stop them.
At the time of his killing, Nijjar was working to organise an unofficial Sikh diaspora referendum on independence from India.
New Delhi's anxieties about Sikh separatist groups in Canada have long been a strain on the relationship, but the two have maintained strong defence and trade ties and share strategic interests over China's global ambitions.
In March, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government summoned the Canadian high commissioner in New Delhi, its top diplomat in the country, to complain about Sikh independence protests in Canada.
But signs of a broader diplomatic rift emerged at the summit of the Group of 20 leading world economies hosted by India earlier this month. Trudeau had frosty encounters with Modi, and a few days later Canada cancelled a trade mission to India planned for the fall. A trade deal between the two is now on pause.

At a press briefing in the White House on September 21, United States' National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that his government supports Canada's investigation into the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
&ldquo;As soon as we heard from the Canadian PM publicly about the allegations, we went out publicly ourselves and expressed our deep concern about them, our support for law enforcement progress to get to the bottom of what exactly happened and ensure perpetrators are held accountable,&rdquo; said Sullivan.
He added that the US officials have also been in touch with the Indian government.
"I firmly reject that there is a wedge between the US and Canada. We have deep concerns about the allegations, we would like to see the investigation carried forward and perpetrators held to account. That is what the US has stood for from the moment this became public and will fully stand by till this fully plays its way out," Sullivan added.

All members of Parliament will receive a special gift on Tuesday, September 19 after the proceedings of the Parliament will move to the New building.&nbsp;
As per India Today, all members will get a copy of the constitution, books related to the constitution and a commemorative coin and a stamp to mark the start of proceedings.&nbsp;
The govt convened a 5-day session of Parliament which commenced on Sept 18. Day 2 of the session will take place in the new building.
Notably, the high-end new Parliament building was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May this year.

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has commented on the recent controversy surrounding Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's remarks on Sanatan Dharma.
As per Hindustan Times, Haasan's statement came while speaking at Makkal Needhi Maiam--his party's meet.
He stated that it was unfair to target a young individual like Udhayanidhi for expressing his views on Sanatan.

Amid calls by several opposition parties for Bidhuri's suspension from Lok Sabha, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met the BSP MP at his residence on Friday evening.&nbsp;

With dawn breaking on the Moon, ISRO attempted to reestablish communication with the lander and rover, to revive them so that they can continue with scientific experiments.

ISRO on Friday said it has made efforts to establish communication with its lunar mission Chandrayaan-3's lander Vikram and rover Pragyan to ascertain their 'wake-up condition' after they had been put into sleep mode early this month -- but no signals have been received from them as of now.
Attempts to make contact with the lander and rover will continue, the national space agency said on social media platform X.
With dawn breaking on the Moon, ISRO attempted to reestablish communication with the lander and rover, to revive them so that they can continue with scientific experiments.
Both the lander and the rover were put into sleep mode earlier this month on September 4 and 2 respectively, ahead of the lunar night setting in on Earth's only natural satellite. However, their receivers were kept on.
"Efforts have been made to establish communication with the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover to ascertain their wake-up condition. As of now, no signals have been received from them. Efforts to establish contact will continue." ISRO said in a post on 'X'.
&ldquo;We have put both the lander and rover on sleep mode because temperature would go as low as minus 120-200 degree celsius. From September 20 onwards, sunrise will be going on at the Moon and by September 22 we hope that the solar panel and other things will be fully charged, so we will be trying to revive both the lander and rover, &rdquo; ISRO&rsquo;s Space Applications Centre Director Nilesh Desai had told PTI on Thursday.

BJP MPs Ravi Shankar Prasad and Harsh Vardhan on Friday distanced themselves from their party colleague Ramesh Bidhuri's objectionable remarks against BSP parliamentarian Danish Ali as they came under attack for allegedly laughing at the time of the incident in the Lok Sabha.
While Prasad said he does not support any indecent comment, Harsh Vardhan alleged that some people with vested interests have "dragged" his name into the row and claimed that he could not "clearly hear" what was being said due to the "chaos" in the House at that time.
The BJP, meanwhile, issued a show cause notice to Bidhuri, its MP from South Delhi, for his objectionable remarks against the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
