'Does Modi have 100 heads like Ravan?': Congress vs BJP over Kharge comment | Gujarat Elections 2022

Ahead of first phase voting in Gujarat, a political war has broken out over a statement made by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.

While criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for campaigning in every election - from municipal level to Parliamentary level - Kharge wondered whether Modi has "100 heads like Ravan".

Reacting to the attack, the Bharatiya Janata Party said that Kharge lost control over his words, as the Congress is unable to take the heat of the Gujarat elections, and has been pushed to the fringe.

BJP leader Amit Malviya said that with jibes like 'Maut Ka Saudagar' and 'Ravan', the Congress is continuing to "insult Gujarat and its son". Sonia Gandhi had called Modi 'Maut Ka Saudagar', or merchant of death, during the 2007 Gujarat elections.
