Moscow-Goa flight bomb threat: nothing suspicious found; plane may leave soon from Jamnagar

A day after a Moscow-to-Goa flight was diverted to Gujarat's Jamnagar over a bomb threat, the airport director revealed what the extensive search had yielded.

Nothing suspicious was found after security personnel checked the aircraft, luggage, and details of the passengers, according to news agency ANI. The flight was expected to leave for Goa between 10:30 am and 11 am, the airport director was quoted as saying.

The flight made an emergency landing in Jamnagar on the night of 9 January 2023 over a bomb threat. All passengers and crew members were evacuated safely.

An official of the Russian embassy in New Delhi said the embassy was alerted by the Indian authorities about the alleged bomb scare on the Azur Air flight en route from Moscow to Goa.
