Man allegedly kills father, grandfather for ill-treatment of mother

A 21-year-old allegedly brutally killed his father and grandfather in Greater Noida. The accused, who was identified as Jasmine, was reportedly frustrated with how his father treated his mother.

According to the police, Jasmine repeatedly hit his father on the face and neck with an axe, which woke up his sleeping grandfather. He then allegedly killed his grandfather using a hammer before fleeing the scene.

A senior police official said the accused had been sent to judicial custody and the weapons have been recovered.

Jasmine claimed his mother was forced to move out of the house due to constant torture and harassment, NDTV reported. The couple were also getting divorced.

The double murder was carried out in an under-construction film studio in Dankaur's Ballu Khera village. After the incident, Jasmine disposed of the murder weapons in a bathroom and then ran home to wash his stained clothes.
