Haryana: Hindu right-wing mob tries to storm church, cops stop attack

Days after, Bajrang Dal goons attacked a missionary school in Madhya Pradesh alleging conversion, a mob of Hindu right-wing activists tried to forcefully enter a church in Haryana's Rohtak on Thursday.

The mob alleged that the church was carrying out religious conversion, but was stopped from storming the church building. The bunch of goons created a ruckus and raised slogans before being dispersed by the police.

The police said they received no complaints about conversion and the mob was contained after much commotion.

The church pastor told mediapersons that the police visited them on Wednesday evening and informed them about a possible demonstration.

Police said in their probe they found nothing like conversion at the church.

BJP-ruled Haryana is planning an anti-conversion law on the lines of the one in Uttar Pradesh.
