BJP chief J P Nadda slams Arvind Kejriwal over corruption, calls him 'biggest liar' ahead of Delhi Polls

BJP chief J P Nadda slams Arvind Kejriwal over corruption, calls him 'biggest liar' ahead of Delhi Polls

BJP president J P Nadda launched a scathing attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal during a public meeting in Uttam Nagar, calling him the “biggest liar” and accusing the Delhi government of corruption and unfulfilled promises during its 10-year rule.

“If a competition of lying is held nationally, Kejriwal would come first,” Nadda said, as he campaigned for the February 5 Delhi Assembly polls. He cited multiple “scams,” including the excise policy case and alleged financial irregularities in the Waqf Board, Jal Board, and school infrastructure projects.

Nadda accused the AAP government of breaking all records of corruption, claiming scams worth ₹100 crore in the Waqf Board, ₹28,000 crore in the Delhi Jal Board, and ₹1,300 crore in classroom construction. He also alleged that the AAP siphoned ₹7,000–₹8,000 crore meant for Yamuna river cleaning and failed to deliver clean water to Delhi residents.

Highlighting the central government’s contributions, Nadda asserted, “Whatever Delhi has received in the last 10 years is due to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.” He referred to AAP as “aapda” (disaster), a term coined by Modi earlier during a rally.

The BJP leader urged Delhi voters to prioritize the city's future, claiming the upcoming elections are crucial for its progress. The AAP, aiming for a third consecutive term, faces the BJP, which won eight seats in 2020, and Congress, which failed to secure any.

With votes set to be counted on February 8, the BJP is determined to challenge AAP's dominance in Delhi, accusing its leadership of massive corruption while promising better governance.
