After finding somebody criminal, why are you asking for an inquiry? This recommendation itself is completely contradictory. The person who drafted it has to read it again."</p>
<p>He even compared her expulsion to a Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match and said, "there was a match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Angelo Matthews was timed out because Shaqib ul Hassan appealed against it according to the law. It was correct, but it was against the spirit of cricket."</p>

<p>Reacting to TMC MP Mahua Moitra's expulsion from Lok Sabha, Bahujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali held a one-man protest outside Parliament to demand justice for his ex-colleague.</p>
<p>Ali said, "Commitee also mentioned about me in one of the recommendations because I am standing there for the justice of Mahua Moitra."</p>
<p>He further said that everyone saw that Ramesh Bidhuri crossed the line and what he did but the Parliamentary Committee is not ashamed of that. Danish Ali also said that the boundaries of Parliament were crossed on September 21 when Ramesh Bidhuri hurled abuses at him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mamata Banerjee said: "Moitra is a victim of circumstances and TMC will fight along with the INDIA alliance for justice."<br><br>She further said that "it is a sad day for India and that Mahua should fight it boldly and TMC will also fight it boldly."&nbsp;</p>
<p>The West Bengal chief minister added, "Today, I am sad to see the attitude of the BJP... How they betray the democracy. They did not allow Mahua to explain her stand. Full injustice has been done."<br><br></p>
<p>Moitra was expelled on Friday from the Lok Sabha after the House adopted the report of its Ethics Committee that held her guilty of accepting gifts and illegal gratification from a businessman to further his interest.</p>
<p>After a heated debate over the panel report during which Moitra was not allowed to speak, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a motion to expel the Trinamool member for "unethical conduct", which was adopted by a voice vote.</p>

<p>"He is being constantly monitored by a multi-disciplinary team including Orthopaedic, Anaesthesia, General Medicine, and Pain Medicine. His general condition is stable. The hospital will update his health status periodically," it added.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, on the direction of Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Secretary of Health Medical and Family Welfare visited Yashoda Hospital to inquire about the health of former CM K Chandrashekar Rao.</p>
<p>"During the transit of the former Chief Minister from his residence to the hospital, Police Department had ensured green channel for the movement of former Chief Minister," a release from the Congress said.</p>
<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi prayed for his recovery while his daughter K Kavitha has said that the former Telangana CM sustained a minor injury.</p>

<p>"I would request that Members may be given sufficient time of 3-4 days at least to study the report and prepare themselves for the discussion in the House. I would therefore request you to fix a day and time at least 3 days from now, for taking up the discussion in the Ethics Committee Report," the letter read.</p>
<p>The ethics panel's report has called Mahua's conduct highly objectionable, unethical, heinous and criminal and sought an institutional inquiry by the government.</p>

<p>A 54-year-old man on Thursday threw acid at a minor girl in the Anand Parbat area and drank from the same bottle and died, police said.</p>
<p>The 17-year-old girl was thrown acid at her in front of her house in the central Delhi area by the man who was already undergoing trial in connection with a rape, they said.</p>
<p>"On Thursday, we received a PCR call regarding an acid attack at our Anand Parbat Police Station," a senior police officer said.</p>
<p>By the time police reached the spot, the girl and the man, identified as Prem Singh, had been rushed to a hospital.</p>
<p>"The injured girl told police that her mother had already got a case of rape registered against Prem Singh and he was out on bail to attend a marriage function at his house," said the police officer.</p>
<p>On Thursday, at about 7.30 am, Prem Singh threatened the girl to get the rape case withdrawn by her mother. When she refused to do so, Prem Singh threw acid at her and drank it himself too. He died during treatment.</p>
<p>Police said the girl was discharged from hospital with minor burn injuries.</p>

<p>Central Bureau Of Investigation has initiated a preliminary enquiry to probe alleged irregularities in the construction and 'renovation' of a new residence for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, ANI reported citing CBI sources.</p>
<p>The enquiry has been opened against 'unknown officials of the Delhi government', NDTV said, adding that an FIR will be registered if the CBI finds a prima facie case during the probe.&nbsp;</p>

'Don't upload questions myself': Giridhari Yadav, who is part of Moitra ethics panel, slams BJP

<p>Yadav said this while participating in a debate on the report of the ethics committee in the Lok Sabha.</p>

<p>Janata Dal (United) MP Giridhari Yadav on Friday said he does not upload questions on the Lok Sabha's website himself as he does not know how to operate a computer, as the Lower House decided to expel Trinamool Congress (TMC) member Mahua Moitra over the allegation that she shared her log-in credentials with outsiders and took a bribe for asking questions.</p>
<p>Yadav, who is a member of the Lok Sabha's ethics panel and was among the opposition MPs who staged a walkout from the committee meeting alleging that Moitra was asked personal and irrelevant questions, took a jibe at the ruling dispensation and questioned why BJP MP Nishikant Dubey was called for questioning while businessman Darshan Hiranandani was not.</p>
<p>He said this while participating in a debate on the report of the ethics committee in the Lok Sabha. The report was adopted and the House voted for expelling Moitra after the opposition members walked out.</p>
<p>"I do not upload my questions myself.... My PS (personal secretary) does it. I do not know how to operate a computer ... so my staff does that for me. I do not even remember my own password," the JD(U) leader said.</p>
<p>"This time I did not give any questions out of fear.... We are being intimidated," he added.</p>
<p>Speaker Om Birla objected to Yadav's comments.</p>
<p>"I request all members to prepare their own questions. This is against the norms. I can take action against members who do not prepare their own questions," Birla said.</p>
<p>Yadav said ethics panel chairperson Vinod Sonkar had said Hiranandani, who made the allegation through an affidavit that he paid a bribe to Moitra, would be called for examination but was not called eventually.</p>
<p>"It is the misfortune of this House that honourable Nishikantji was called for cross (examination), but Darshan Hiranandani was not called. If an affidavit can be trusted, why mistrust Nishikantji? "The ethics panel chairman had said Hiranandani would be called.... We call MPs but do not call capitalists who make allegations," he said.</p>
<p>The Lok Sabha expelled Moitra on Friday after holding her guilty of sharing her website log-in credentials with others and accepting gifts from a businessman to extend favours.</p>
<p>After a heated debate during which Moitra was not allowed to speak, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a motion to expel the TMC leader for "unethical conduct", which was adopted by a voice vote.</p>
<p>The opposition members walked out of the House as the speaker started the voting process on the motion moved by Joshi.</p>
<p>The Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha had recommended Moitra's expulsion from the House over the "cash-for-query" allegation.</p>
