Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday reiterated the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to bringing every region of the state into the mainstream of development, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies.

Addressing the Mahtari Alankaran Samman ceremony in Pandaria constituency via video conferencing, he said the government is prioritising good governance and eradicating corruption.

“Development schemes are being fast-tracked, especially in rural areas, to strengthen infrastructure and ensure access to basic facilities,” Sai said.

A series of infrastructure and connectivity-related announcements were made during the event. These include the creation of a new sub-tehsil in Ranveerpur, a new college in Birendra Nagar starting next academic session, a 250-seat Nalanda campus in Pandaria, new college infrastructure in Kunda, a new municipality building in Pandaria, and the four-laning of a 2.1 km stretch on NH-130A. Additionally, the Chief Minister performed bhoomi pujan and inaugurated development works worth ₹72 crore.

Highlighting progress in rural banking services, Sai said that Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras have been established in 1,460 Gram Panchayats, with plans to cover all panchayats by next year. He noted that property registration processes have been made simpler, more transparent, and affordable for the public. He also acknowledged the contributions of regional MLA Smt. Bhavna Bohra, and said, “The launch of 5 free bus services for girl students is not just a facility, but a historic step towards the confidence and empowerment of daughters.”

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, addressing the event virtually, remarked, “This is a historic day for Pandaria, when development works worth ₹72 crore are being inaugurated and 5 free buses for girls are being started. This is a unique initiative of its kind in Chhattisgarh.”

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma emphasised balanced growth across regions, saying, “Development in the state is no longer limited to urban areas, but is reaching every village and region equally. The coming time will be a new chapter of progress of Chhattisgarh.”

Lok Sabha MP Shri Santosh Pandey said the initiative will play a vital role in promoting education and empowerment of girls. “The free bus facility will give more strength to the girl students to realize their dreams,” he said.

MLA Smt. Bhavna Bohra shared that the number of free buses for girl students has increased to eight from three earlier, benefiting students studying in colleges across Pandaria, Pandatarai, Pipariya, Sahaspur Lohara, and Kawardha. She said schemes worth over ₹600 crore have been approved in the Pandaria constituency over the past one and a half years, and that long-awaited projects such as the Harinala bridge and bypass are now gaining traction.

The event was held at the PM Shri Swami Atmanand Government School Campus in Pandaria. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma joined the ceremony virtually, while MP Shri Santosh Pandey, MLA Bhavna Bohra, and other public representatives and officials were present at the venue.
