Chandrayaan 3: After Pragyan rover, Vikram Lander set into sleep mode

Two days after Chandrayaan-3's Pragyan rover was put to 'sleep', ISRO on Sept 4 announced that Lander Vikram too has been set to sleep mode on the Lunar surface.

According to the Indian space agency, before slipping into sleep mode, in-situ experiments by ChaSTE, RAMBHA-LP and ILSA payloads were performed at the new location.

The data collected by payloads has been received at the Earth. The payloads have now been switched off.

Additionally, Vikram will fall asleep next to Pragyan once the solar power is depleted and the battery is drained, said the agency, adding both Pragyan and Vikram are expected to wake up around September 22, 2023.
