Bill to repeal three farm laws to be tabled on first day of winter session: Centre

As farmers' agitation at the borders of the national capital completes one year, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar confirmed that the bill to repeal the three controversial farm laws will be tabled in the Parliament on the first day of the winter session. The session starts from November 29.

The minister urged the farmers to end their protest and go home. He said with the repeal of the three laws there is no point in continuing their agitation.

Tomar also said that the govt has agreed to the farmers' demand of decriminalising stubble burning. On the demand to bring in a law on MSP, the minister said that the PM has announced formation of a committee that will look into making MSP system more transparent & effective.

On this issue of taking back cases registered against farmers during the course of the protest, the minister said that it comes under the jurisdiction of the state govt.
