Bengaluru CEO allegedly kills 4-year-old son in Goa, caught in Karnataka with body stuffed in bag

A 39-year-old CEO allegedly killed her four-year-old son at a Goa service apartment and was caught in Karnataka while fleeing in a taxi with the boy's body stuffed in luggage.

The incident came to light on Monday morning when Suchana Seth, a Bengaluru resident and co-founder of artificial intelligence start-up Mindful AI Lab, checked out of Sol Banyan Grande in North Goa's Candolim.

Notably, the woman asked the hotel staff to arrange for a taxi to go to Bengaluru. They informed her that it would cost more than a plane ticket, but Seth insisted on travelling by road,, the Times of India reported.

According to the staff, the boy had been missing since Saturday when the mother-son duo checked into the luxury apartment.

One of the cleaning staff noticed blood stains in her room and immediately informed the Calangute police at 11 am. The cops then reached the hotel and checked the CCTV footage to find that the woman exited the hotel without her son. The cops then called the taxi driver and spoke to the woman.

Police said that when they questioned her about her son, Seth claimed that the boy was with her friend in Fatorda. The police then asked her friend's address to verify her claims. However, it turned out to be false.

This time they called the driver again and spoke to him in Konkani and asked him, without Seth's knowledge, to divert the car to Chitradurga, about 204 kms from Bengaluru.

When the taxi reached Aimangala police station in Karnataka, the police went through her luggage and found the boy's body, following which she was detained there, The Times of India reported.

Police said that the exact motive of the murder is yet to be ascertained, but revealed that during preliminary interrogation, Seth mentioned ‘estranged relationship’ with her husband as one of the reasons.
